Making “The Book of Winter Fireworks” Video Series

To celebrate the release of William Hale’s debut album “The Book of Winter Fireworks”, we are proud to present a five part behind-the-scenes mini-documentary series about the making of the album. This week we bring you the conclusion, Part V: Winter Fireworks. In this edition, we see Lucas William Hale Van Scoy (singer/songwriter) with Timothy Oakley (drums) recording together in two separate locations at Terra Hill farm. Featured songs include “Winter Fireworks”, “Mountains of Fire” and “Song For Spring”.

“The Book of Winter Fireworks” Available Now!

After three years of off-and-on work, William Hale’s debut album is finally finished and available to download now! You can pay however much you would like or download for free in a variety of audio formats. Many fans who have attended William Hale’s live performances will recognize most of the songs, but there are a few that have been rarely performed with the full band. The album features special guests Daniel de Jesus of Rasputina on cello and Donna Baird of Sgt. Dunbar & the Hobo Banned on trumpet.

Edith Pop is a brand new experimental pop music project, created by Laura Hajek, previously of Pandha Piranha, and Timothy Oakley of Phantogram and Mathematicians. They recently made their debut along side a music video for their first single “Boy”. The video was directed by Christopher Phelps and Maxim Van Scoy of Ursidae Parade. Flutterby Muckraker Productions has just released their latest project, a music video for the song “Flutterby” by Starlight Girls. The video (directed by Jonathan Phelps) features unique puppet characters and costumed creatures. Check out the video premiere at Pigeons and Planes or watch below!

Help Laura Hajek Win Miss NY USA 2012!

This weekend, January 13th-15th, the annual Miss New York USA pageant will kick off at the Purchase College Performing Arts Center in Purchase, NY and our very own Laura Hajek will be competing against 140 other girls for the title of Miss New York!

Laura is representing Glens Falls in the pageant and you can help her win the People’s Choice Award. How, you ask? Simple! Watch this video we made, and use the ‘Tweet’ and ‘Share’ buttons to vote. The more shares and tweets she gets the closer she comes to victory. Voting lasts all week and you can share it as many times as you are willing. The video, which features Sheldon Crest of Channel 616 fame, has already garnered a lot attention for it’s unconventional attitude toward pageantry.
