Whatever Takes Shape: Bushwick Open Studios

On Friday, June 3rd the fifth annual “Bushwick Open Studios” will kick off at over 350 locations across Brooklyn. Hundreds of artists will display work in almost every conceivable art form. One of these locations dubbed “The Jeffersonian” will feature a show called “Whatever Takes Shape”, a collection of interactive sculptures, projections, paintings, music and video, as well as dancers and performing artists. Work will be on display on all four floors of the building, culminating  with the main event on the rooftop, which features an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline. Many members of The Ravacon Collective will have work on display including Ryan Scott Fitzgerald, Jonathan Phelps, Rose Sambrato,  Stephen Phelps, Justin Paszul, Joel Barlow, Christopher Phelps,  and Laura Hajek. The show will also feature a live performance by William Hale with full band on the roof.

Muckraker Productions Launches New Website

Muckraker Productions has just finished revamping their website MuckFilm.com. The site hosts a variety of film and video projects, countless art pieces, photos, exhibit info and much, much more. One of the most impressive new additions is the “Ghost Books” project. Ghost Books features over 3,000 pages of art by Jonathan Phelps spread across 27 books. The collection displays a wide range of mediums and styles and each gallery features original music. Do The Fright Thing

[SinglePic not found]It’s that time of year again. Dead leaves, pumpkin carving, horror movies and Ghoul Poon’s annual “Do The Fright Thing” music compilation. This is the third iteration of the Halloween themed collection and this year features a brand new song by William Hale titled “The Tall Harvest” along side 24 other tracks by musicians from all over the country. The album is available to download for free courtesy of Lofi Kabuki.
